The Marino shopping centre, which belongs to the Saller Group, is currently undergoing intensive renovation work to significantly optimise the access and parking situation and improve the shopping complex by comprehensively modernising the buildings.
The first part of the construction work is already in the final phase and concerns the optimisation of the parking spaces and the road system. The car park around Marino is being thoroughly reconstructed and the parking spaces have been extended so that customers can park conveniently both in front of the centre on the Żmigrodzka Street side and at the rear of the building on the Paprotna Street side. In the final phase of the current works, the car parks next to the McDonalds restaurant and near the entrance from Żmigrodzka Street will be reconfigured. The investment work is aimed not only at significantly improving the access situation for Marino’s motorised customers, but also for pedestrians, for whom new and safe crossings and walkways have been planned and implemented. Once all the work has been completed, the car park will provide customers with around 640 convenient parking spaces around the building.
The Saller Group is also planning a comprehensive refurbishment of the interior of the shopping centre. Work is in full swing to improve the exterior façade and entrances, which will be adapted to the latest architectural standards and environmental requirements.
The passages inside the shopping centre will be completely redesigned, with the first works starting in January 2024. A modern food court will be created on the upper floor, which will not only offer customers kitchens from around the world, but also completely new rental units and brands.
Even before construction work began, customers were able to look forward to the following new tenants in Marino: DM drugstore, Kaes sports shop, Empik salon and Free Look. The existing tenants Drogerie Rossmann, Apotheke Vitrum, Friseur Rodzinka, Creative Style Damenmode, SFD-Ergänzungsmittel für Sportler, Intima Lingerie, Konditorei Filipinka, Family Optiker, Pepco and Drogerie Hebe have already undergone refurbishment (remodelling of the rental units, relocation or expansion). Further new tenants and the modernisation of existing shops will make the variety and shopping offer even more attractive for local customers.
All construction work will be carried out during the normal operation of the Marino shopping centre. The investor is therefore using all the means at its disposal to ensure the safety and comfort of customers and tenants by planning and carrying out the work in stages. The main entrance to the building, which is currently being remodelled, has been fenced off and separated from the rest of the building. The conversion of the car park is nearing completion and should be finished by the end of this year. The extensive modernisation of the exterior façade, the conversion of the building entrances and the catering area, as well as the further expansion of the rental units, are proceeding according to plan and will be completed by the end of the third quarter of 2024.
